Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations may be canceled with a full refund up to 48 hours before a hike. No refunds for cancellations 48 hours before a hike.
If rain or poor visibility conditions are expected, we will offer a full refund, or you may reschedule. We will notify you 24 hours ahead of a hike if there is a weather cancellation.
Please get in touch with us if you need to alter your reservation for any reason. I am happy to work with you.
All ages are welcome, but keep in mind that the terrain can be difficult for some. Contact us for questions or concerns.
The weather in Maine can vary at any time of the year. We recommend you dress in layers. Hiking shoes or good sneakers with good socks are a must. Please bring any emergency medications. We recommend at least one bottle of water for each group member. Bug spray is recommended. There may be mosquitos, and there are definitely ticks in the park. I will have Deep Woods Off available.
There are no bathrooms or water sources at the trailhead. There are bathrooms at the Sand Beach Parking lot that you can access after the Sunrise Hike or available as a stop on the Morning Coffee and Hike.
Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash (as required by Acadia National Park).
We provide headlamps, hiking poles, and coffee mugs (you are welcome to bring your own). All condiments for coffee are included.
Yes, please let me know if you would prefer a decaf coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and I will do my best to accommodate.
